Both immersions will be held in California. The first immersion, October 30 – November 4, 2016, will take place at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City. There is a variety of lodging options, from bedrooms, studios and suites to one to eight bedroom townhouses, each featuring wifi Internet. All rooms come with resort amenities which include an outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, indoor sauna, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts and gym. Nightly rates range from $89- $231 depending on the type of room, plus 20% taxes and service fees. Accommodation fees for the first immersion are paid directly to Granlibakken Tahoe. There is no special technology needed to join the online modules —access to the internet is all that is required. The virtual classroom is a password-protected website that can only be accessed by course participants. It’s the place to go for your homework, video lessons, and reading assignments; to ask questions of the faculty or teaching assistants; and to read or post in the discussion group.
The second immersion, September 10 – 15, 2017, will take place at 1440 Multiversity. Located in Scotts Valley, California, near Santa Cruz, an area known for its beautiful weather, redwood forests, and gorgeous coastlines, this expansive 75-acre campus offers beautiful hiking trails, suspension bridges over winding streams, and an enchanting outdoor amphitheater. Nightly rates range from $146- $231 depending on the type of room, plus 20% taxes and service fees.
